Cup and Saucer Wetlands is the first step in Sydney Water’s Cooks River Naturalisation Project. It was built in 2010 and provides a habitat for local birds and aquatic life. The wetland cost $900,000 to build and filters water from Cup and Saucer Creek. The Cooks River Project has three more naturalisation sites planned. These sites are areas along the Cooks River banks at Belfield, Canterbury and Campsie.
Construction will start at Belfield mid-2013. For more information visit http://www.sydneywatertalk.com.au/crbnp/
